YOU JUST GOT TROLLED?!

Got trolled again? On Facebook? Twitter? Any social media? And upset for life about it? Well, it’s all over everything and time to face the facts.

Someone who deliberately upset another by starting an argument or posting unnecessary inflammatory messages on social media is referred to as troll, in internet slang. Over the years, it has gotten so bad that all you see on social media would be a troll. Talking factual, YouTube needed to develop a way for users to moderate their videos comments section and popular science shut downs its comments section entirely due to this reason. Explains how awful it has been in the recent years.

According to many researches, trolling enjoyment was very strongly associated with a sadistic personality. It proves that most of the internet trolling were because of overlap with sadism. Which basically states that all these nasty comments and things regarding people are because some enjoy harming others?

The popularity of trolling locally is also beyond imagination. It takes a minute for something to come up on the news or someone to say anything on social media these days. It effects the other person in various ways which sometimes people who find these trolls amusing don’t even realize the impact they’re causing too.

Nonetheless, some researches have shown some very interesting implications on this. As a very normal person, you may find the idea of trolls at an extreme level where you can’t tolerate it. But the interesting bit is, a sadist person is considered to be vicious and very harmful towards the others. Let this be mentally, physically or emotionally. High chances that the internet is just allowing them to blow out their negative energy towards the other person in such a way where they don’t get to be destructive in person. Thus, the majority of these sadists are usually sexual offenders and serial killers globally. Can this be appreciated?

So whenever you find yourself reeling over a particularly hateful comment on your everyday websites, take some comfort in knowing you’re just another anonymous pawn in the internet troll’s game.
