Born in New Delhi, Nia Sharma is an Indian television actress most famous for her roles as “Manvi” in the soap opera “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai” and as “Roshni” in “Jamai Raja”. She was also ranked as No.3 in the “Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women” list by British-based newspaper, The Eastern Eye. We got the chance to catch up with her post her photo-shoot, and find out what she thought about her time here in the Maldives.
The Maldives
It’s a place beyond imagination. It’s a true paradise and a place of dreams. I am genuinely saying this because I’ve never felt so special in my life”.
The stay here
It’s my first time here. Everything exceeded my expectations and was different to what I had pictured prior in my head. My room and my water villa oh my god, I never want to leave this place, ever! The view of the huge crystal clear sea every morning and the water bed, it’s living my dream”.

The Maldivian People and Culture
Honestly I don’t know much about the culture here. But from what I gathered over my short visit, they seem very dignified people who live a good lifestyle. Alcohol being restricted and those aspects I may not personally understand it, but I respect that and I also learn that Maldivians speak their own language Dhivehi. When I landed here, I saw some Maldivian girls and they are genuinely so beautiful I could not take my eyes off them”.

And the backgrounds and locales of the Maldives and getting featured with a photo-shoot from Hussain Shiham, whose work I’ve seen; nothing feels greater than this. I’m a girl and I love photo shoots and I love pictures and with these great settings, I am bound to go “gaga” over the end result of the shoot”
Return to the Maldives
This time I was visiting alone, so I want to come back for my birthday or a new year’s eve with my family and brother. I know they will love it here. When I get married sometime in life, my first honeymoon would also be in the Maldives and nowhere else in the world. It’s very dreamlike and the place you want to be, because it’s not crowded and gives you peace. It gives your own sweet time by yourself. This is how much I truly fell in love with the Maldives”.
