Cloud Egg Is Next-Level Egg-in-a-Hole

With eggs, it kind of feels like everything that you can do to them has been done. You can hard-boil, fry, or scramble them, have them over easy, or—if you really want to get fancy—make Eggs Benedict. But apparently that’s not all you can do, because now people are making something called “cloud eggs.”

Cloud eggs are healthy, balanced meal choice with around 160 calories and a mix of protein and healthy fats, and it’s pretty easy to prepare:

  • Separate the yolk from the white.
  • Whisk the white until they have a thick, fluffy consistency, then add in any optional extras you may like, such as cheese, ham, chili or coriander.
  • Place the whipped white in a cloud shape on a baking tray, leaving dips in the middle where the yolks will go later.
  • Bake in an oven preheated at 230°C oven for five to eight minutes.
  • Carefully add the yolk into the middle of each cloud and return to the oven for three minutes before serving

It can be your new dish for the weekend!

Ingredients

  • Fresh eggs
  • Chopped coriander
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

Cloud eggs are simply fluffy egg whites with a yellow center, designed to look like a sun in the middle of puffy white clouds.

This impressive dish is easier than it looks!
